Added to the Cannes line-up is our newest acquisition the fast paced Swedish refugee drama EXODUS about a professional smuggler of people who reluctantly saves a 14-year-old girl whose whole family has gone missing in the Syrian war. The film is expected to premiere fall 2022.
Another new title to the Cannes line-up we have boarded the new Finnish horror THE KNOCKING which centres around three adult siblings who return to their childhood home, where their parents were allegedly murdered many years ago. The plan is to get the house and estate ready to be sold but it turns out there's something evil that tries to prevent them from doing so. The film is directed by Max Seeck (Finland’s best-selling author at the moment) and Joonas Pajunen (has produced and directed hundreds of shorts and commercial videos). THE KNOCKING is currently in post-production and we have promo and script available.
Our Australian horror SISSY stars Netflix’s The Bold Type Aisha Dee as the successful internet personality, Sissy, who is doing her best to get past her childhood traumas. But the facade comes crumbling down when she gets invited to join her best friend’s bachelorette weekend in the woods. Here she is forced to reconnect with past enemies which pushes her to seek revenge. The colourful and gorry feature premiered as the opening night film in the midnighter’s section at SXSW.
ALL MY FRIENDS HATE ME is a British dark comedy about the self-doubting Pete, who travels to the countryside to celebrate his birthday with his college friends. But quickly upon arriving Pete finds himself unnerved about his friends’ behaviour and practical jokes. But is he being paranoid or is he the butt of some elaborate joke? The film has received rave reviews
THE KISS is the latest film from Danish cinema legend and award winning director Bille August. The film, which is based on the novel Beware of Pity, is a period drama set in 1913 in Denmark. It centres around a noble cavalry officer, Anton. He is introduced to the young Edith, who is bound to a wheelchair after a childhood accident. As they spend time together feelings start to develop between the two, and soon Anton starts to doubt his own intentions - Because is he in love with Edith or does he simply feel bound to her out of pity and compassion?
Full line-up coming soon.
We look forward to seeing you in Cannes!
