LevelK at Rotterdam IFF
We look forward to seeing you at Rotterdam FF - either in person or online. (Alexandra in person, Tine online).
For Rotterdam FF we are excited to have two strong titles selected and world premiering at the festival. Our newly acquired German folklore drama MILK TEETH is selected for the Big Screen Competition and the unnerving Icelandic drama NATATORIUM is selected for Bright Future section.
MILK TEETH
Based on a book, Milk Teeth tells the story of a superstitious village community set in a place and time unlike ours. The villagers protect themselves from outsiders - the wolf-children. When a strange child appears in the woods, the young woman and protégé of the village’s leader Skalde, goes against the elders and welcomes the child home. Together with her mother, Edith, they join forces to try and protect the child from facing the consequences of breaking the law. Skalde suggests a risky deal. Meanwhile, Edith has her plan.
NATATORIUM
Set in a tense series of days, a young girl, Lilja, stays with her estranged grandparents and bedridden uncle. During her stay she auditions and is admitted to a prestigious performing art school. In an effort to celebrating her accomplishment, a family reunion is called. The rest of the family begins to arrive, not with joyous sentiment but with a cautionary feeling. Family secrets and supernatural elements begin to emerge that leads to a tragic ending that nobody could have foreseen.
The film is directed by Helena Stefánsdóttir and produced by Sunna Gudnadóttir for Bjartsýn Films
Please reach out to us if you would like to book a meeting or have enquiries on any of our titles.
