LevelK at American Film Market (AFM)

Our AFM line-up includes:

We are excited to see you at this years AFM, where we will be bringing a promo for SHAME ON DRY LAND to from director Axel Petersén (The Real Estate) who's previous film premiered in competition at Berlin FF. The film is in post production and local theatrical release set for February 2023.

We also just announced our boarding of the Danish comedy title FATHERS & MOTHERS by Paprika Steen (Aftermath) which shows an impressive ensemble cast including Jacob Hauberg Lohmann (Shorta), Nikolaj Lie Kaas (Riders of Justice), Amanda Collin (Raised by Wolves), Martin Greis-Rosenthal (Another Round) and Line Kruse (Cry Wolf). The film will open locally on the 3rd of November on 155 screens. (Link available upon request).

For distributors of Family titles, we have scenes from the Thomas Robsahm (The worst Person in the World) produced DANCING QUEEN (script available), local theatrical release is also in February 2023.

Besides these our line-up also includes one of our newest acquisitions the Macedonian drama KAYMAK directed by the Oscar nominated director Milcho Manchevski (Willow) which world premiered at Tokyo IFF in competition. - (Link available upon request).

The Portuguese drama GREAT YARMOUTH - PROVISIONAL FIGURES by Marco Martins (Saint George) which recently premiered in competition at San Sebastian to rave reviews. - (Link available upon request).

The Finnish horror THE KNOCKING directed by Max Seeck and Joonas Pajunen, which had all ready been sold to 70+ countries prior to its world premiere in competition at Sitges FF. - (Link available upon request).

The satirical Danish drama THE CAKE DYNASTY by first time feature director Christian Lollike starring Nicolas Bro (Riders of Justice) which had its world premiere in competition at Zürich IFF. - (Link available upon request).

And THE KISS a Danish period drama by the Oscar and Palme d’or awarded director Bille August (Pelle the Conqueror) starring Lars Mikkelsen (House of Cards) and David Dencik (No Time To Die). - (Link available upon request).

Finally the genre film COLD from Erlingur Thoroddsen (The Piper, The Rift) which is currently in production. Local release is set for fall 2023 (script available).

They have both attended business school and propose a comprehensive modernisation focusing on the production of healthy cakes. Niels cannot cope with these new ideas and instead falls in love with the factory's new cleaning lady, Zeinab.

She is miserable, but lights up when it turns out that Anton treats her as if she was like the rest of the guests and not bound to a wheelchair. Anton feels a growing compassion towards Edith, and as the two spend more time together he grows fond of her. However, he can’t figure out whether his feelings are of pity or true love, and in his attempt at doing the right thing he gets ever more entangled in promises, lies, and responsibility towards the Løvenskjold family and to Edith.
