We look very much forward to see you in Berlin at European Film Market. This year we have three titles being showcased: SEBASTIAN, our new british queer-drama which has just had its premiere at Sundance, VICTORIA MUST GO, Norwegian family comedy, and HUNTERS ON A WHITE FIELD, Swedish suspense drama.
Max, a 25-year-old aspiring writer living in London, begins working in escort by the pseudonym Sebastian in order to research his debut novel. As Max increasingly struggles to remain in control of a delicately balanced double-life, he must reckon with whether Sebastian is merely a writer’s tool in their quest for the ultimate sense of first-hand authenticity – or whether something more is at stake.
Two young and wealthy siblings, Hedvig and Henrik, decide to hire a hitman to get rid of their annoying stepmother, Victoria. To solve their problem, the children approach Carl, an immigrant from Bosnia. He refuses to help them, because he is a law-abiding citizen. That is until he finds himself and his family in a difficult financial situation.
In this mysterious suspense drama, three men go on an extended weekend hunting trip. An initial spell of hunting success sharpens their instincts and stirs a sense of rivalry. But one day all animals vanish without a trace and the forest turns eerily quiet. The men become obsessed with the idea that the hunt must continue.
