LevelK scores sales on Danish suspense thriller Cutterhead

Danish international sales and distribution outfit LevelK has closed first round of deals on Danish suspense thriller Cutterhead that will celebrate its Asian premiere at Busan Film Festival in the Flash Forward section.

The film has recently been picked up for distribution by Filmin (Portugal), Jushi Films (China) and New Select (Japan).

Set underground, under pressure, and under Copenhagen, a young female PR-coordinator is visiting the Copenhagen Metro construction to portray the European cooperation when an accident occurs. Unable to escape, she takes refuge in an airlock with a Croatian miner, and a worker from Eritrea. Despite radically different world-views, they must put their lives and bodies in each other's hands to survive.

Sales Managers Lauren Valmadre and Debra Liang negotiated the deals.

Cutterhead has been selected for CPH PIX and in October the film will celebrate its Asian premiere at Busan Film Festival in the Flash Forward section.

The film is directed by first time feature director Rasmus Kloster Bro and produced by Amalie Lyngbo Quist for Beo Starling. It is written by Rasmus Kloster Bro and Mikkel Bak Sørensen, and financed by New Danish Screen and DFI. Cast includes Christine Sønderris, Samson Semere and Krešimir Mikić.
