In 1940, the German war machine invaded Norway, and 22-year-old Gunnar Sønsteby immediately offered his services to the resistance. He proved to have a special and unique talent for leadership and organization and quickly became the leader of all resistance activities in the Oslo area. The story of Gunnar, also known as 'Kjakan' and 'No. 24,' has never been more relevant. This thin, modest, and humble man gave the Nazis tough resistance with the precision of an accountant and the daring and courage of a true hero.
