LevelK at Berlinale 2020

Dear Friends,

We're very excited to announce our lineup for Berlin - 2020!

This year we are proud to present our dynamic slate of excellent titles covering animation, family, comedy, splatter and documentary films.

Screening as the opening film at Berlinale Generation Kplus is our humorous and heartfelt title H IS FOR HAPPINESS. The film has received great reviews in Screen Daily which called it a "thoughtful movie" with "a Wes Anderson-esque flavour" and The Curb who named it "an immediate Australian classic". So far H IS FOR HAPPINESS has had 7 sold-out preview screenings at the Perth Festival and has reached approximately AUD$100k at the Australian box office. Universal will release on 150 screens in Australia on February 6, 2020.

For the line-up we are bringing the opening film from Gothenburg PSYCHOSIS IN STOCKHOLM  about a daughter trying to cope with her mentally ill mother. Another title which was also in the Nordic competition in Gothenburg is our bittersweet comedy GAMES PEOPLE PLAY about old friends and lovers reuniting at a birthday party that none of them really wants to be at. The film has an experienced cast with Eero Milonoff ('Border', 'The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Maki'), Christian Hillborg ('Fleabag', 'The Bridge') and Laura Birn ('Purge'). Alongside these two we will bring the edgy film CALL MOM! whish has received several Guldbagge nominations, as well as our sweet and whimsical animation RAGGIE. Newly acquired title THIRST, the horror-comedy about an Icelandic gay vampire, will also be part of the line-up. Lastly, we have our high impact documentary and FIPRESCI winner ASWANG.
