LevelK boards Danish survival drama Cutterhead

International sales and distribution outfit LevelK has acquired world sales rights for first time feature director Rasmus Kloster Bro’s Danish survival drama Cutterhead ahead of Cannes Film Market.

A young female PR-coordinator is visiting the Copenhagen Metro construction to portray the European cooperation when an accident occurs. Unable to escape, she takes refuge in an airlock with a Croatian miner, and a worker from Eritrea. Despite radically different world-views, they must put their lives and bodies in each other's hands to survive.

“I want it to be a very physical experience. Watching the film should feel like being eaten by the underground.” - Director Rasmus Kloster Bro

Cutterhead is part of LevelK’s lineup in Cannes 2018 and will have closed market screenings on Thursday May 10th 09.30 at Palais D.

The film is produced by Amalie Lyngbo Quist for Beo Starling, and written by

Rasmus Kloster Bro and Mikkel Bak Sørensen, and financed by New Danish Screen and DFI. Cast includes Christine Sønderris, Samson Semere and Krešimir Mikić. Domestic release is set for fall 2018.
