LevelK at Gothenburg Film Festival 2020
We look forward to yet again attending the Gothenburg Film Festival, with a strong line-up.
This year we are proud to have three films selected for the festival, two of these will be up for a dragon award in the
Nordic Competition. The first title is the festivals Opening Film PSYCHOSIS IN STOCKHOLM, a strong drama exploring the relationship between a sick mother and her teenage daughter. The second title is the hilarious film GAMES PEOPLE PLAY, about a group of 30-something friends regressing to their teenage selves while celebrating an unwanted surprise birthday party. Both titles will have their world premiere at the festival.
Our body-positivistic documentary

Gothenburg Film Festival 2020 line-up
Drama / 100 min / Sweden / 2020
A mother and daughter are on their way to Stockholm to celebrate the daughter's 14th birthday. On the train, the mother starts acting weird and the daughter fears that another psychotic episode is about to take possession of her mother. Despite the symptoms, they try to continue the vacation as planned. When the mother's condition worsens, the daughter is left by herself and gets to explore Stockholm on her own for a few magical, solo days and nights. Psychosis in Stockholm is a heightened drama about a fantastic and unconditional mother-daughter relationship.
Comedy / 105 min / Finland / 2020
An old group of friends gathers to celebrate Mitzi’s surprise birthday party over a nostalgic weekend at an idyllic seaside villa - just like they used to do as teenagers. Familiar surroundings and the old rituals get to the core of the group and make them forget their adulthood. Revelations, not meant to harm the balance, make them reassess their past as well as their present.

A new documentary film following the fat-activist movement in the Nordics that is taking the world by storm! "Fat Front" is the latest revolution promoting body positivity, challenging traditional beauty standards and fostering inclusivity.

Parents wait their entire lives for their children to say "Thank you!" and children, in turn, wait for an "I’m sorry!" This emotional deadlock is the premise of the comedy Call Mom!
