LevelK at MIPCOM 2019

Dear Friends,

We are very excited to announce our colorful lineup for this year's edition of MIPCOM!

First up is H IS FOR HAPPINESS, a heartwarming Australian family film starring Richard Roxburgh (Moulin Rouge), Miriam Margolyes (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), and gifted newcomer Daisy Axon. The film tells the story of an optimistic 12-year-old girl who uses a school project to help her separated family get back together. H IS FOR HAPPINESS recently won the $100,000 Film Prize at Cinefest Oz and received a great review in SCREEN. It was also called "an immediate Australian classic" in an ecstatic review in The Curb.

CAPTAIN BIMSE is also a family film, but a very different one. This adventurous Danish production follows a young girl as she flies through the night with the enigmatic airplane captain Bimse and his wonderful crew. With eye-popping visuals and charming performances, this is really one to watch.

Our lineup also includes two Danish documentaries: While PHOTOGRAPHER OF WAR is an intense and unflinching portrayal of the world-renowned Danish war photographer Jan Grarup, FAT FRONT gives an inspirational glimpse into the world of body activism by following four young women who refuse to feel ashamed of their plus-size bodies.

We are also bringing the powerful German drama I WAS, I AM, I WILL BE – which won two awards (Best Screenplay & Best Actor) at the Munich International Film festival and received a wonderful review in SCREEN – alongside THE EXCEPTION, a Danish psychological thriller starring Sidse Babett Knudsen (WestworldBorgen) and Amanda Collin (A Horrible Woman). The film is centered around bullying and vicious behavior at a workplace where no one trusts each other.

Our Sales & Acquisitions Manager Lauren Valmadre is attending MIPCOM from October 13th – 15th. Meanwhile, the rest of the LevelK Team will assist from Copenhagen.
