LevelK at Cannes FF
We will return to Cannes this year and would love to see you in person if you are attending. LevelK will be attending the market from May 15-24, 2023 so don't hesitate to schedule a meeting with us.
The LevelK office will be located at: 18 Rue Venizelos, 06400 Cannes, 1st floor to the right, Le Louvre (Red door at entrance)
Our exciting line-up includes:
We are extremely happy to announce that we have signed Filip Pošivač’s debut family claymation feature TONY, SHELLY AND THE MAGIC LIGHT. The title is selected in competition at ANNECY.
Critic’s Week Selected drama IT’S RAINING IN THE HOUSE (Belgium), directed by Paloma Sermon-Daï will join our line-up due to temporary co-operation between Heretic Sales and LevelK.
The Icelandic thrilling murder mystery COLD. The film centers on an investigator, who investigates decades old deaths at a juvenile treatment centre, which begins to have ties to his ex-wife's mysterious suicide, as well as his teenage daughter's strange behaviour. The film is directed by Erlingur Thoroddsen (The Piper)
The newly announced English language surrealist drama MR. K, starring Crispin Glover. This surrealist drama is about traveling magician, Mr. K, who checks into a remote hotel - he finds out the walls are alive, the hotel is shrinking and that he can't leave. Directed by Tallulah Schwab (Confetti Harvest). We have a promo to show in Cannes.
Another highlight from our line-up is our new acquisition, the Czech period-drama set in the 1930's WE HAVE NEVER BEEN MODERN, by director Matěj Chlupáček. The film is about the finding of a dead hermaphrodite baby which challenges society's look on gender identity, love and progress - it is inspired by the true story of intersex people in the 1930's.
Part of our upcoming slate is the Swedish crime drama SHAME ON DRY LAND from director Axel Petersén (The Real Estate) whose previous film premiered in competition at Berlin FF. The Icelandic unnerving drama NATATORIUM by first time feature film director, Helena Stefánsdóttir. Lastly The Danish LGBTQ+ drama B.O.Y. (BRUISES OF YESTERDAY), by first time feature film director Søren Green.
