Over the course of three days, the lives of nine people intersect in a Copenhagen hotel. A hotel manager peers into the abyss of his empty life - with devasting consequences not only for himself but for his wife and his mistress. A Spanish stewardess reaches out for intimacy and finds it in a most unexpected way. A reserved receptionist is forced out of his shell by a shocking event, and an Albanian refugee gets a chance to avenge his wife, but ends up discovering something surprising about himself. At the same time two Filipino maids walk almost unnoticed through the corridors. A gunshot starts the action, and as the gun passes from hand to hand, each story provides elements for another. People meet in seclusion, their secrets are revealed, and their lives become entangled in a dramatic tale of love and longing.
